Cisco Soler is an Alabama-based cartoonist, animator, and content creator from Montgomery, AL.

Cisco primarily specializes in both 2D animation (rig and hand drawn), and stop motion animation. Cisco always preferred these two mediums because he is a hands-on type of artist and considers them more tangible for him as an artist. With 2D animation, it can easily be personalized and there is no definitive standard. With stop motion, it combines Cisco’s passions for animating as well as his other hobbies; modeling and sculpting.

Cisco’s early introduction to art was because of watching his mother draw and growing up watching Disney films and watching the behind the scenes specials. But his main and prominent inspiration was the character Casey Jr, a whistle speaking locomotive featured in Dumbo and The Reluctant Dragon. As much as he was a self taught artist, Cisco is a visual learner, taking inspiration from various behind the scenes documentaries on various movies and cartoons and later recreating some of his favorite scenes on his Youtube channel. 

As a cartoonist and animator, Cisco adds his own personalized style to his projects, mainly focused on the art itself as well as the making of the art. Cisco always loved the process of making a project as much as the end result, and makes content on how he puts certain things together and the creative process that goes into his projects.

Cisco is currently studying animation at the University of South Alabama and is also currently working on a stop motion animated thesis film. After this current semester, he has one more left before he graduates. He mainly wants to stay a content creator instead of applying for any studios, however he does consider being either a stop motion animator or a storyboard artist. He primarily uploads his work on Youtube and has not participated in any film festivals. 

In the long run, Cisco aims to successfully make a living as a solo artist and as his own unique identity, sharing his passion for what inspires him to make art as well as inviting viewers to look into his process of making projects.
